The Power Genomics GS application provides the necessary tools and methods for calculating the optimal sample size in genomics-based studies. This is increasingly timely, as genomics data is no longer confined to early stage R&D, but is also used throughout the drug development process. Power Genomics is the first commercial sample size program to incorporate false discovery rate (FDR) calculations in all of the sample size and power analysis tables. The FDR is increasingly recognized as the primary basis for sample size determination in genomic studies, rather than calculating just the false positive rate and power. Power Genomics includes all of the most commonly used microarray analysis methods and study designs, including two group analysis (paired and unpaired), correlation and regression analysis, and one factor and two factor ANOVA for multi-group study designs.
